Meet Malvin
Bulandet Miljøfisk stands on the plot where Malvin Grepstad grew up. Today, Malvin makes sure that the everything works properly. Malvin is an experienced machinist who had retired, «but then I was invited to join here… it was really nice to get back up on the barracks and smell the diesel and dirty overalls.»

Life on the islands
Guest Harbour
The islands’ hub is at the Joker’s – the local convenience stores – and at Værlandet Gjestehamn. Visitors come here to live, eat and to join boat trips and rent kayaks.
What we like best about living here is that we always meet our friends. These are the places where relationships are maintained and developed every single day.

Alden. Naturally.
481 meters straight up from the water and visible more than 100 km at sea, Alden is one of the most distinctive sailing marks in Norway. From the top you have fantastic views in all directions.
From the western peak Ystenova, you will see the small island communities close to the ocean, while in the north and east you have a view of majestic mountain peaks and fjords. Far to the north you can even see the Gjegnalund Glacier and the Ålfot Glacier.
The Venice of Norway
Bulandet and Værlandet form an island landscape that can only be reach by car or bicycle on a ferry, or by your own boat. The islanders are used to traveling and doing errands by boat in addition to enjoying their free time fishing.
Surrounded by the North Sea and strong currents, you get close to the waves that shape the landscape. In a fresh breeze, you live in one with the elements.

Sports Center
Bulandet and Værlandet Flerbrukshall will soon be completed with facilities such as a swimming pool, fitness room, spinning area, activity hall, boulder wall and conference room.
Flerbrukshallen is a nice place for recreation before or after work, with a view of the sea and the waves that hit the reefs.
